Kress Corporation is an American off-road truck manufacturer located in Brimfield, Illinois, just 20 minutes west of Peoria of Illinois. The firm was founded in 1965 by Ted Kress and since then is one of the world’s leading manufacturer of specialty in industrial equipment for transporting, with machines operating worldwide in the material handling industry like steel, slag, and coal. The company's first product was a slag pot carrier that was used to pick up, transfer, pour and skull slag pots from blast furnaces. Kress Corporation’s next step was the manufacturing, the first of its kind, slab carrier which picked up and carried 100 tons of steel slabs and coils. Later Kress Corporation built its first coal hauler in 1971, the first of its kind, a single unit, bottom dump, coal hauler.
